The Symposium will be located at East China Normal University in Shanghai, China.
East-China Normal University
Founded in October 1951, East China Normal University (ECNU) is one of the most prestigious Universities in China. National programs "Project 211" and "Project 985" sponsor the University. With two campuses in Shanghai, one located in Minhang and the other in the Putuo district, ECNU has a total area of over 207 hectares. The University has over 4,000 faculty members, of whom approximately 1,200 are professors and associate professors. In 2013, the University enrolled 14,000 undergraduate students and 12,000 graduate students. Additionally, there are over 3,700 international students on campus. ECNU has established sound partnerships with more than 150 academic institutions internationally.
Shanghai
Shanghai is the largest metropolitan city in China, with a population of more than 20 million people. Within China, it is known as an economic, financial, and foreign trade epicenter. Located on the east coast by the Pacific Ocean, Shanghai has a moderate climate with four seasons. Like New York City, Shanghai is a melting pot. People living in Shanghai hail from various places in China and throughout the world. Shanghai was the host city for the 2010 World Expo. It extends a warm welcome to visitors from all over the world.
